A counsellor is someone who you share your inner world with, and as a result find greater clarity, freedom, alignment, and momentum. In sessions I provide a confidential and non-judgmental container where your thoughts, ideas, concerns, wishes, challenges and issues can be heard, validated and addressed effectively. My goal is that you leave your counselling session feeling more yourself, and with something valuable to take away.

Approach
My approach is holistic, which means I see you as dynamic with unique cognitive, emotional, physiological and spiritual expression. No two people are the same, and so my approach to working with you will be completely unique.
I have an eclectic approach to working with intuitive and evidence-based clinical therapies. My training includes a combination of evidence-based therapeutic approaches, traditional Indigenous teachings and mindfulness based training. I frequently draw on aspects of Somatic therapies, Mindfulness Approaches, Motivational Interviewing (MI), Mindfulness Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT), Attachment Theory as well as Psychodynamic therapy.
In Session
Our work together will support you in living greater ease, wellness and alignment in yourself and the world. We will start from strengths and helping you thrive. We may spend time addressing things in your life you are wanting to see change with, addressing problems or challenges that feel stuck or impossible - or working with thoughts and experiences that have been weighing on you which you are ready to let go of. As we get to know each other more, I can help you grow insight, inner capacity as well as heal patterns and habits that are no longer serving you. Each session you will leave feeling more yourself, more clear and like you have something new to bring forward into your life.

Cost
$150.00 (Includes GST) per 60 minute session
Counselling is primarily virtual, however in person sessions can be arranged periodically in Revelstoke BC, Canada.
Cancellation Policy
24 hour cancellation policy, or full payment is required. Cancelling as early as possible will allow for others to receive the session you can no longer attend.
Extended Health Coverage
Amanda is a Registered Social Worker (RSW registration number #12071) and has a Masters of Social Work Degree (MSW, BSW). Check to see if your extended health benefits will cover part of the cost of your counselling sessions.
